Regular eye examinations are as important as any other health check.
Our consulting rooms are equipped with the latest diagnostic equipment to examine your entire visual system and to measure and record any changes over time.
A comprehensive eye examination can do much more than check on how well you see. It can give valuable insight into the health of your eyes, as well as issues which affect other parts of the body. Many eye conditions do not have obvious symptoms, so eye examinations are often the only means of identifying them.
Examples are shown below:
- Macular degeneration
- Eye strain
- Dry eye
- Risk of high blood pressure or stroke
- Risk of high cholesterol levels
We recommend eye examinations every two years to help keep you and your eyes in good health.
After an eye examination your optometrist will explain and discuss the results before prescribing lenses and frames.
